Polly Allen is a computer programmer and user interaction specialist with a M.Sc. in Computer Science. She has travelled, worked and volunteered in Canada, the United States, Europe, Africa, and South America and currently calls Victoria, British Columbia her home base. Starting in November 2008, she will be travelling from Bangkok, Thailand to Auckland, New Zealand through as many countries she can reach before she runs out of cash, credit, and long-suffering friends with couches. She is currently researching digital SLR cameras and any places that might publish the stories of her travel debacles – think “Bridget Jones does budget travel.” Trouble does seem to follow her everywhere, but luckily they get along.
